Warri Wolves Cut Salary of Six players

 Total of  Six players have been placed on half salary by the management of the Seasiders due to poor performances in the ongoing season Nigeria Premier League side Warri Wolves have slashed the wages of six of its players and issued warning that they improve on their game else they will have their contract terminated.

The affected players are Musa Najare, Ambrose Vanzekin, Daddy Bazuaye, Achibi Ewenike, Efe Yarhere and Omoforma Freedom.

In a statement released by the Moses Etu who is the club's media officer of the Warri-based club, the players cumulative wages have been reduced by 50% following their below-par performances and appalling behaviours with the players expected to improve or get shipped out.

"After the draw with Sharks, Management sat down to review the performance of the players and apart from that, management has been monitoring the activities of some players who felt Warri Wolves is a father Christmas club," the statement read.

"This is a serious warning for them to sit up because Management can no longer tolerate their actions. The sanction is for their salaries and cumulative wages to be reduced to 50% with immediate effect.

"Many of them have really disappointed us this season and it is time for them to sit up or get out of the way for serious ones."

"The only player who has really impressed and need to be encourage is Joseph Eyimofe who has made the left full back shirt his birthright. the club’s management is impressed with Joseph Eyimofe, who has lived up to expectations both in performance and behaviour and has decided to increase his salary and cumulative wage," he concluded.

The Seasiders currently placed 12th on the table log with 21 points from 15 games will be guest to Gombe United in Wednesday's NPFL game.
The  Warri  wolves team could  not  make  it  to  the  group  stage  of  the  Caf  Confederation  cup that  is  still   going  on.
